The Calverton Chargers Swim Team consists of over 100 swimmers, plus a pre-team. We are an enthusiastic and spirited team, rooted in long-held traditions, composed of swimmers with a wide-range of abilities. We focus on giving our swimmers a fun and memorable summer swim team experience that also teaches and improves stroke technique and performance through practices and meets. We prioritize good sportsmanship and engagement in team/community activities.

Calverton pool members, ages 4-18, are encouraged to join the swim team. It’s a great way to make friends with kids of all ages, have fun, and improve your swimming skills.

The Calverton Chargers Swim Team is a member of the Montgomery County Swim League (MCSL). MCSL currently consists of 91 teams in 15 Divisions (A through O). Teams are placed in Divisions via a computerized “swim-off” at the end of the previous season. This year (2026) we are in Division H. The other teams in our Division include North Chevy Chase, Cedarbrook, Rock Creek, Garrett Park, and Potomac Woods.
